Albin Skoda ring

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Albin-Skoda-Ring was donated in 1973 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the death of the Viennese actor Albin Skoda (1909–1961) by his widow Margarethe Skoda and is awarded at the suggestion of an independent jury to "a particularly outstanding speaker among the living actors in the German-speaking area" . No prizes were awarded between 1993 and 2000. In 2001 it was decided that the ring should be re-awarded every ten years.
