Alpha Flight 1970 , also known as AFL or AFL 1970 , is a demo scene group that was active on various home computer platforms.

The group was formed in 1985 and focused on the release of software for the C64 . The name is based on the well-known Marvel comic Alpha Flight by John Byrne . The 1970 appendix refers to the date of birth of the founding members (namely Seven Up, Crime, The Damned, Frankie Double Team, The Gothicman and Danny).

AFL was made up of a multitude of talented programmers, graphic artists and musicians who have released some highly regarded productions.

The group has become known through many disk mags , demos and intros that were programmed for the C64 . On the Amiga the group was also very active in the area of demos and intros, but the very first disk mag for the Commodore Amiga with the name Cracker Journal , which was published in German and later also in English, was by far the best-known publication Conception later found many imitators.
