The alpinwelt (lower case) is a mountain magazine published by the Munich & Oberland sections of the German Alpine Club . It is not available in stores, but is sent to the more than 170,000 section members at no additional charge and is also available for free in numerous sports shops and climbing halls in and around Munich.

Publication and edition

The alpinwelt appears four times a year. In addition, the event programs of the sections are published annually in the special numbers alpine program and children and youth program . The print run is 110,000 copies.

In each issue of the alpinwelt , a key topic is dealt with in depth by various authors, for example the changing Alps or the mountain lifestyle . In addition, each issue contains articles on what is happening in the section, on the children's and youth groups in the sections and on environmental issues as well as tour reports and tour tips.
