The old Praga Synagogue of Warsaw was the synagogue of the Warsaw suburb Praga and the oldest synagogue in Warsaw .

In the beginning there was only one Jewish suburban community in Warsaw, which lived in the Warsaw suburb of Praga , which was named after Prague . Only privileged members of the Warsaw Praga Congregation were allowed to live in the city of Warsaw . The old Praga synagogue was a wooden synagogue that was built in 1819. In 1836 the new Praga synagogue or suburban synagogue was built in its place.
