Andreas Möller (* 1974 in Rostock ) is a German book author and communications manager.

Life

Möller studied history, German literature and politics in Heidelberg, Rome and Berlin. In 2005 he received his doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a thesis on the resistance to science and technology in Germany using the example of the journalist Martin Raschke (1905–1943) .

He worked as a freelance journalist, a. a. for Deutschlandradio Kultur , and was then head of political and social advice at the business-oriented German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech). During this time he led u. a. the office of the innovation dialogue with the federal government.

From 2012 he was Head of Public Affairs at the Aurubis copper group . Since 2015 he has been Head of Corporate Communications and Politics at the laser and machine tool manufacturer Trumpf .

In 2013 his book The Green Conscience was published. When nature becomes the substitute religion that has been discussed in several newspapers. It describes the turn to the sustainability lifestyle as a social retreat into the private sphere. The book also traces the cornerstones of Germany's admiration for nature and criticism of technology since the 19th century. Andreas Möller also published articles on the subjects of technology, nature and society in the magazine Cicero and in the magazine politik & kommunikation .

In 2018 he published Zwischen Bullerbü und Tierfabrik. Why we need a different view of agriculture , an analysis of the media representation of agriculture. A preprint of the book appeared in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung under the title Listen to dream . This was awarded the "Communication Prize 2019" from the Association of German Agricultural Journalists (awarded by Federal Agriculture Minister Julia Klöckner and Farmer President Joachim Rukwied ).
