Angkor Hospital for Children

The Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a hospital in Siem Reap , Cambodia . The carrier is the Friends Without A Border company.

In 2004 only a few hospitals existed to treat children in Cambodia. The US organization “Friends without a border” therefore set up the Angkor Hospital for Children. It is a children's hospital that provides basic medical care for children in the Angkor area .

Angkor Hospital For Children is the country's first private, not-for-profit hospital. It was built in Siem Reap and opened in early 1999. With an international team consisting of doctors, nurses and therapists, the AHC offers outpatient and inpatient treatments, operations, a 24-hour emergency service , dental care and training opportunities for Cambodian doctors and nurses. In order to raise the standard of regional health care, staff from neighboring hospitals and rehabilitation facilities within the province are also trained.
