Angoolam

Angoolam , also Angli or Angali , was a small measure of length in India and was about the width of a thumb.

According to Helmut Kahnt and Bernd Knorr, the measure had these values:

According to William Tate:

  • 1 Angoolam = 1 ¼ inch = 3.175 centimeters
  • 24 Angoolam = 1 kole = 30 inches = 2 ½ feet

According to another source, the measure was one inch (2.54 centimeters) long.
