Ignition chain
In blasting technology, an ignition chain is the name given to several ignition elements arranged one after the other, which enable the burning or deflagration of an active charge . Ignition chains can also contain ignition elements. The term is to be distinguished from the ignition chain that initiates the detonation of an active charge. Usually, explosive charges detonate and are therefore ignited, propellant charges burn down and, in contrast, are ignited.
