The Aabenraa Fjord ( German : Apenrader Förde ) is an approximately 10 km long fjord in the Baltic Sea in Denmark . At its widest point, it is around 3.3 km wide.

The eponymous town of Aabenraa (German: Aabenraa ) with the only deep-water port in the Sønderjylland-Schleswig lies on the western bank . In the port of Aabenraa , coal freighters and oil tankers can be unloaded up to a draft of 18 meters.
