April ( Korean 에이프릴 ) is a six-member South Korean girl group founded by DSP Media in 2015.

history

April on their debut

April's foundation was announced in February 2015. They made their debut with the EP Dreaming and the accompanying main title Dream Candy on August 24, 2015. Already in November of this year Somin left the group due to personal differences regarding the concept of the band.

In February 2016, the official fan club name "Fineapple" ( Korean 파인 에 플 ) was introduced. The group's second EP, Spring , was released on April 27, 2016. It contains six songs, including the lead single Tinkerbell ( Korean 팅커벨 ). On October 29th, after a seven-month hiatus, Hyunjoo announced their official exit to pursue an acting career. Shortly thereafter, two new members were introduced, Chaekyung and Rachel. So April released her third EP Prelude again as a six-person group on January 3rd, 2017. The title track is April Story ( Korean 봄 의 나라 이야기 ). On September 20, their fourth EP Eternity was released along with the title track Take My Hand ( Korean 손 을 잡아 줘 ).

On March 12 and October 4, 2018, The Blue and The Ruby were the group’s fifth and sixth EPs. The seventh EP titled Da Capo was released on April 22nd, 2020 .
