Armée secrète

The Armée secrète ( French for secret army ) was a grouping of the French Resistance during the Second World War . It should not be confused with the Organization de l'armée secrète (OAS) , a French underground movement during the final phase of the Algerian war .

Founded in 1942 by Jean Moulin , the Armée Secrète emerged from the collective connection of the following Resistance groups:

Activities focused on the Rhône-Alpes region and the Massif Central in southern France.

In 1944 she formed the Forces françaises de l'intérieur (FFI) together with the Organization de résistance de l'armée (ORA) and the Francs-tireurs et partisans (FTPF ) .
