Armed Robotic Vehicle (ARV)

The Armed Robotic Vehicle (ARV) (dt. Armed robotic vehicle ) is an adjusted project for an unmanned ground vehicle and thus was part of the program Future Combat Systems of the United States Army . Before the deletion on February 12, 2007, there should originally be two versions: an attack variant and a reconnaissance version. If it had been implemented, the vehicle would have been part of the military global information grid .

Versions

The two versions should use the same chassis . The reconnaissance version was supposed to take on reconnaissance tasks and relocate unattended ground sensors . It should support its own units in combat and serve as a communication relay.

The attack version should clear up the environment in dangerous terrain ( MOUT ), relocate sensors, serve as communication relays and fight detected targets. The difference was that the reconnaissance version had no anti-tank guided missiles, but a mast-mounted sight.
