ARMOR (Advanced Radar for Meteorological and Operational Research) is a Doppler radar system. One such system is at the Huntsville Airport near Huntsville , Alabama . The system there was jointly developed by the broadcaster WHNT-TV and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Two other systems are on the French reconnaissance ship Monge .
