Arnold's safety

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The company Arnolds Sicherheit GmbH was a German security service.

In 1965, the Essen- based company was founded by the Arnolds family as "Wachdienst Arnolds" and converted into a GmbH in 1982 . The main activity was security services for well-known sports clubs such as FC Schalke 04 or VfL Bochum . In the 1970s, security guards and a separate guard service were added.

In 1992, Hans Musebrink and his son Mark took over the company. He renamed the company to Arnolds Sicherheit GmbH and began to expand . The most traditional company within the group of companies was the Westfälische Wachgesellschaft Hamm , which was founded in 1924. She came to the Arnold Group in 1996, together with WESTFALIA Geld- und Werttransport , also from Hamm.

The company hit the headlines at the end of August 2006 after it became known that the managing directors had embezzled. During the investigation by the public prosecutor's office, it was found that Hans Musebrink and Mark Musebrink had been embezzling customer funds since 2000. The company's insurer was claimed for around 24 million euros and refused to settle the damage because the managing directors had already deceived when the insurance contracts were concluded in 2005. The majority of customers of the company's money and value services received no compensation. In 2006 the company employed 2,300 people. The trial against the former managing directors began on February 27, 2007 at the Essen Regional Court . Hans and Mark Musebrink were each sentenced to five years and nine months imprisonment. Both were proven to have withdrawn customer funds to cover business expenses. A co-managing director was imprisoned for four years. The company went bankrupt and was dissolved by the insolvency administrator, the Essen lawyer Otto Rolf Neukirchen.

A brazen theft by a former employee in September 2001 with damage of more than 1.3 million DM made negative headlines at the time, as this employee was able to get a job as a cash transport driver without any problems despite a considerable criminal record.
