Arthur A. Ross
Arthur A. Ross (born February 4, 1920 in Chicago , Illinois , † November 11, 2008 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter .
Life
Ross worked as a screenwriter from the mid-1940s. In the 1950s he increasingly turned to television. In 1963 he received the Edgar Allan Poe Award for an episode of the Kraft Mystery Theater series .
For the screenplay for Brubaker he was nominated together with WD Richter for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay in 1981.
His son Gary Ross , born in 1956, is also active as a screenwriter.
