Ascii.Disko

Ascii.Disko is a music project by the German music producer and DJ Daniel Holc (* around 1975 in Hamburg ).

Life

His first EP Immer / Strassen under the project name Ascii.Disko was released in 2002 by the Hamburg label L'age d'or . The piece Strassen in particular developed into a club hit and immediately made the project known. His self-titled debut album was also released a year later on L'age d'or.

His fourth album, Black Orchid: From Airlines To Lifelines , was released in 2011, combining downtempo beats with synth-pop sounds.

Holc, who comes from Hamburg, lived in Madrid for a few years before moving to Mallorca in 2010. He lives there with his wife Ana Laura Alaez, who works as an artist and singer for the Spanish group Girls on Film .
