Asian cone hat
The cone hat , also called rice hat , is a traditional Asian headgear that is particularly widespread in Vietnam . The Vietnamese Nón lá is considered a symbol of Vietnam.
It is mainly made from rice straw or palm leaves and attached to the head with a chinstrap made of fabric. It mainly serves as protection against rain and strong sunlight. Due to its flat cone shape, it can also be used as a bowl for transport or as a fan when it is very hot.
