Aspiration level

In economic sociology , the aspiration level or aspiration level describes how much effort standards can be achieved.

If the aspiration level is too low, this means that standards can be surpassed with little effort and the incentive effect is low. If, on the other hand, the aspiration level is too high and the specified parameters can only be achieved with the greatest effort, the risk of failure and thus the risk of frustration are also high.
