Atlantic Congo languages

The Atlantic-Congo languages (ISO-639-5 code [alv]) are a subset of the Niger-Congo languages ; they combine Atlantic languages and Volta-Congo languages .

I.e. According to the classification of the Niger-Congo languages ​​by Bendor-Samuel 1989 and Williamson-Blench (in Heine-Nurse 2000), only Kordofan languages , Mande languages , Ijoide languages and Dogon are excluded from the total .
