Attritor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An attritor is a system from process engineering and is used to mechanically shred solid materials. Attritors are widely used in the manufacture of powders, e.g. B. for powder metallurgy , raw materials for ceramics, hard metals, toners and many more. Particle sizes down to the nanometer range are achieved.

High-energy attritors can be used for mechanical alloying, a process of powder metallurgy.
