Upright rowing is a strength exercise performed with a barbell or similar weight. Depending on the reach, the delta , hood, abdominal and back muscles are stressed differently . Upright rowing is a multi-joint exercise because it uses several muscle groups at once.

Exercise description

A barbell is grasped with an overhand grip (pronation) larger or smaller than shoulder-width in front of the body with outstretched arms. The dumbbell is then moved towards the chin or in front of the chin and then lowered again. Depending on the reach, the muscles mentioned above are trained to different degrees.
