Lookouts in Lisbon

There are some well-known viewpoints (Miradouro) in the Portuguese capital Lisbon . The term in Portuguese refers to a lookout point.

The miradouros of the capital lie on the city's elevations and reveal a view of the old town or the Tagus . Usually the Miradouros are also shown in the city maps. The better known include:

  • Miradouro da Igreja da Graça ,
  • Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte ,
  • Castelo de São Jorge (Castle / Castle),
  • Miradouro de Santa Luzia ,
  • Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara and the
  • Miradouro de Santa Catarina . The Miradouro de Santa Catarina is a meeting point in the evening for many young people who meet there, make music and practice and perform small acrobatic tricks.
