An auto disposition system is software that takes on a disposition function semi or fully automatically. The automatic disposition system takes several factors into account, such as seasonality, logistical restrictions, different locations and the weather. Most automatic disposition systems use a forecast of future demand as well as order quantity planning and order quantity optimization . (see article on automatic disposition )

For the prognosis, an auto disposition system uses the sales time series of the connected transaction system (merchandise management system [WWS], materials management system [MAWI]). Then, based on the automatically generated sales forecasts and based on the data also provided by the transaction system

  • Framework conditions for purchasing, logistics and production (parameters and conditions)
  • Inventory data
  • Order data (reserved future orders, backlogs)
  • open orders
  • possibly action data

as optimal as possible, d. H. Inexpensive order proposals (trade, purchasing in industry) or production proposals (industry) are generated. For this reason, an auto disposition system usually has to create numerous interfaces to common transaction systems.

In addition to the above The data provided by the leading transaction system must be given further information to the auto disposition system by the user so that the most highly automated and optimally possible forecast and order proposal calculations are possible.
