Machine setter

Automatic set-up is the job title for an activity in a company that uses automatic processing machines for parts made of metal, plastic, wood or other materials for the production of series parts. The activity of the machine setter consists mainly in the installation of processing tools in the machines, in the qualitative assessment of the first products up to the start of series production , the maintenance of the machines when the tools are worn and the conversion of the machines after the end of series production. Typical job titles are: automatic lathe fitter , cutting machine operator and machine and system operator (also in female form).
