The company was founded in 1963 by the father of the current owners and is now run in the second generation by the brothers Frank and Peter Görtz.

As of March 2018, around 50 tonnes of baked goods a day were produced in the company's own bakery in the Rheingönheim district of Ludwigshafen , which was delivered to the branches with its own fleet of 34 vans.
