Büren (Gescher)
Büren is a small district of the municipality of Gescher in Münsterland with 380 inhabitants in 2009.
The first documentary mention was in the period from 1023 to 1032 as Burion in a document of the noble woman Reinmod.
On July 1, 1969, Büren was incorporated into the city of Gescher.
In 2009 there were 24 farms and 25 single houses in the agrarian farming community on an area of 960 hectares, spread over the four neighborhoods of Haabusch, Dönnebrinks-Hook, Roberts-Hook and Ächterbüren.
