Bēl-ušezib

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bēl-ušezib was a Babylonian scholar at the court of Sîn-aḫḫe-eriba and Aššur-aḫḫe-iddina . His high position came about, among other things, that he had prophesied Aššur-aḫḫe-iddina his accession to the throne. He was particularly involved in Assyrian politics and his memoranda is one of the most important sources for understanding the Aššur-aḫḫe-iddinas campaign against the Manneans in 675 BC. Chr.
