The BChO-2 is an aircraft from the Royal Thai Aircraft Factory , which was converted from an Aermacchi SF.260MT . The aircraft is to be used as a training aircraft by the Royal Thai Air Force .

history

On November 5, 2007, a new prototype of a trainer developed by the Royal Thai Aircraft Factory was presented. Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pookpasuk also attended the performance. The Royal Thai Aircraft Factory project began in 2005 and is quoted at around 30 million baht. The machine is an Aermacchi SF.260MT equipped with a different engine , a type that has been in use with the Royal Thai Air Force for a long time . The machine, which was converted after consultation with Aermacchi, is referred to as test aircraft No. 2 (B.ChO.2). The Royal Thai Air Force states that it needs around 30 to 40 aircraft.
