Balloon flight competition

Balloon flight competition

A balloon flight competition is a competition in which the aim is to send balloon mail over the greatest possible distance. Since the flight of the balloons used cannot be influenced, the result - provided all the balloons launched are well filled with hydrogen or helium - depends on the wind conditions and the probability that the balloon will be found at the place of descent.

It is very important not to overfill the balloon, otherwise it will reach heights too quickly and burst due to the decrease in air pressure. It also makes sense to start the balloon in the evening before dark, as this will keep it in the air much longer.

There are air safety law must be complied with.
