Baron Magheramorne , of Magheramorne in the County of Antrim was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was created on July 5, 1887 for the director of the Metropolitan Board of Works Sir James McGarel-Hogg, 2nd Baronet . Already in 1876 he had inherited the title of Baronet , of Upper Grosvenor Street in the County of London , from his father , which was awarded to him on July 20, 1846 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. With the childless death of his third son, the 4th baron, on April 21, 1957, the barony expired. The Baronetcy, however, fell to a great-nephew of the 1st Baron and still exists today.
