Barypsabas

Barypsabas is a legendary figure of early Christianity. He is said to have been a hermit from the Orient who is said to have come into possession of drops of the blood of Christ . He was then persecuted, but before he was martyred in Dalmatia , he was able to bring the relic to Rome . Barypsabas is venerated as a saint , especially in the Athanasius Church in Rome; his feast day is September 10th . He is said to have lived in the 1st century.
