Baursaki

Baursaki (in the Kazakh plural Бауырсақтар Bauyrsaqtar ) are small rolls of dough fried in simmering fat. They are made from a rich yeast sourdough.

Baursaki are often dusted with powdered sugar. They are very popular in Kazakhstan and are usually eaten there with tea .
