Bavarian Chamber Opera

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bavarian Chamber Opera was founded in 1982 by the artistic director Blagoy Apostolov . It is the only municipal opera, and the public law institution is owned by the municipality of Veitshöchheim . The facility is also funded by the district and the Free State of Bavaria. The opera does not have its own performance facility; the productions are performed on different stages. Since 2005, for example, the Mozart Summer produced by the Chamber Opera has taken place in the Würzburg Residenz every year.

The opera productions of the chamber opera were often broadcast on Bavarian television .

The Bavarian Chamber Opera operates its own radio station. "Radio Opera" broadcasts on the Radio Charivari Würzburg frequency and on Digital Classix (LG band).
