Siege of Landau

A total of five sieges of the Landau Fortress occurred :

  • Siege of Landau (1702) , first siege of the French fortress by imperials, from June 15 during the War of the Spanish Succession , the fortress was captured on September 12
  • Siege of Landau (1703) , from October 13th to November 17th, the half-destroyed fortress was besieged and taken by a French siege army
  • Siege of Landau (1704) , in September the fortress was again besieged by the imperial and captured on November 23rd
  • Siege of Landau (1713) , in June, after a few years of silence, the last siege took place, again by the French, the fortress was handed over on August 20th
  • Siege of Landau (1793) , unsuccessful siege of the fortress by Prussian troops in the First Coalition War
