Beniamino Depalma CM (born May 15, 1941 in Giovinazzo ) is an Italian religious , archbishop and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Nola .

Life

Beniamino Depalma joined the religious order of the Lazarists and was ordained a priest on April 3, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Amalfi-Cava de 'Tirreni on December 7, 1990 . The Archbishop of Naples , Michele Cardinal Giordano , donated him episcopal consecration on January 26 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Ferdinando Palatucci CM, senior archbishop of Amalfi-Cava de 'Tirreni, and Ciriaco Scanzillo , auxiliary bishop in Naples .

On July 15, 1999, he was appointed Bishop of Nola , retaining the personal title of Archbishop , and was introduced to the office on October 16 of the same year.

Beniamino Depalma is Grand Officer of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and Grand Prior of the Italian Lieutenancy Meriodionale Tirrenica .

On November 11, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
