Life

Lesieur is autistic but took an early interest in the theater. He played theater with the artist group Turbulences , which works with people who have communication problems. Director Olivier Nakache discovered Lesieur at a Turbulences theater workshop . "Equipped with a very lovable personality, he [Lesieur] either did not speak or did not communicate linearly, so he quoted names of French singers or asked the same question several times in a row."

Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano organized theater workshops for a year in which Lesieur participated, and thus won his trust. They eventually cast him in the lead role of the autistic Joseph in the film Everything Except Ordinary , which hit French cinemas in 2019. Shooting with Lesieur began in September 2018 and lasted 25 days, with Lesieur not reading a script and learning his text, but having his text read out before the scenes and memorizing it. Lesieur starred alongside Vincent Cassel and Reda Kateb in Everything But Ordinary . For his portrayal, Lesieur was nominated for a César for Best Young Actor in 2020 . For the 2020 César Awards and Le Printemps du Cinéma 2020, Lesieur also starred in two short films after Everything Exceptional .
