The Bergische Landeszeitung is a newspaper that originated in Bergisch Gladbach . It appears as the "Bergische Landeszeitung: independent newspaper for the Bergisches Land".

history

From October 1890, the forerunner of the Bergische Landeszeitung was the Volksblatt for Gladbach and the surrounding area, published  by  Heider Verlag in Bergisch Gladbach. In the course of time the newspaper changed the name for Bergisch Gladbach a few times before it appeared from 1949 under the title Bergische Landeszeitung . However, “Heidersche Zeitung” was retained as the subtitle.

In 1952 it was taken over by Heinen-Verlag as the local edition of the Kölnische Rundschau .

On October 10, 2019, the Bergische Landeszeitung celebrated its 70th anniversary together with the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger .
