The Besir Bay ( Indonesian Teluk Besir ) is located on the south coast of the island of Gam , which belongs to the Indonesian archipelago of Raja Ampat .
geography
Gam divides the Besirbucht into two halves, which are only connected by a 1900 meter narrow land bridge in the north. Several small islands lie along the coast of the bay. The access from the Dampierstrasse in the south of the Besir Bay is almost closed by the islands of Bunibah and Bunibah Kecil ( Kleinbunibah ) and coral reefs. Cape Besir (Tanjung Besir) forms the eastern end of the bay .
