District Reserve

A district reserve is a reserve of the civil protection of a government district or a comparable administrative unit in Germany, which can be requested by a district in the event of special disasters (e.g. floods or forest fires).

District reserves are formed by the districts of the government districts. Units of these reserves are the fire brigade , the THW , and all aid organizations (German Red Cross, Malteser Aid Service, Johanniter Unfallhilfe, Arbeiter Samariter Bund etc.).
