Bhagabhadra

Bhagabhadra was an Indian king of the Shunga dynasty , who lived from about 185 BC. BC to 73 BC Ruled in the north of the Indian subcontinent. Bhagabhadra appears as Bhagavata or Bhaga in the Puranas as the ninth ruler of the Shunga dynasty; he is said to have ruled for 32 years.

Outside the Puranas he is known from the Heliodoros column , which Heliodoros , an envoy of the Indo-Greek king Antialkidas , around the year 100 BC. Was built. The inscription on the pillar testifies to the 14th year of Bhagavata's reign; another pillar mentions his 12th year of reign.
