Bharadvaja
Bharadvaja ( Sanskrit भरद्वाज Bharadvāja m. ) Is one of the seven Rishi (saptarishi) in Hinduism .
myth
Bharadvaja is the son of Brihaspati . His mother was pregnant at the same time by her husband Utathya and by her lover Brihaspati. When things got tight for both of them, Dhirgatamas, Utatuhya's rightful son, kicked his half-brother out of his mother's belly.
According to the Indian epic Ramayana , Bharadvaja was visited by Rama and Sita in his hermitage near Prayaga . According to the epic Mahabharata , Bharadvaja was the father of Drona, the teacher of the Kauravas and Pandavas .
