description

The Bhutanese sword has a straight, single-edged blade. The blade is the same width from the handle to the location . The blade is smooth and has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. Often the blades are made of Damascus steel that is forged in a “hairpin folding style” (see web links), similar to the Nepalese Ke-Tri . The place is slightly rounded. The magazine has a small ovales- or round parry , made of wood and is usually wrapped with metal wire. The knob is made of metal and is hexagonal. The scabbards are made of wood, leather or metal. A similar weapon from the same region is the Bhutan short sword . The Bhutanese sword is used by ethnic groups in Bhutan.
