Big Dipper in Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom ( Aurora , Ohio , USA ) was a wooden roller coaster designed by John A. Miller and opened as Sky Rocket in 1925 . It drove under this name until an unknown point in time between 1947 and 1950. From then on it drove as a clipper until 1968, when it was finally renamed Big Dipper . On September 16, 2007, it was closed along with the entire park and sold for US $ 5,000 at auction to Apex Western Machinery Movers , which transported the train for an unknown customer.

The 817 m long route reached a height of 20 m. The top speed was 52 km / h. In 1980 the railway was completely renovated.

Trains

Big Dipper had two trains with four cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) could sit in each car.
