English version of the Bigtrak's keyboard

Bigtrak is a programmable, electronic toy car that was sold by the Milton Bradley Company (MB Spiele) from 1979 in Germany. In addition, a dump trailer could be purchased, which dumps the load on program command.

Back of the Bigtrak

The Bigtrak is a three-axle vehicle with a futuristic design. On the roof of the approx. 15 cm high vehicle there is a keypad with which the device can be programmed. Up to 16 steps can be programmed into the device and saved. After this programming, the vehicle then moves in the corresponding directions and covers previously set distances.
This toy was copied in the Soviet Union and sold in the Eastern Bloc countries under the name "Elektronika IM-11" (Russian: Электроника ИМ-11).

In 2010 the Bigtrak was reissued. All functions and the optics correspond in detail to the original. However, the replica is no longer manufactured and sold by MB (MB has now been incorporated into the Hasbro group). The manufacturer is the English company Zeon Limited.
