Fixed castor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fixed castor

A fixed bracket is a non-pivoting role which movements can perform only in one direction. It is the opposite of the so-called swivel castor , which can also be freely rotated vertically. Fixed castors consist of a frame, e.g. B. made of sheet metal, and one or more wheels inserted therein.

function

Fixed castors are used when either only one direction is driven or in combination with swivel castors for better tracking. A trolley that is only equipped with swivel castors can easily be pushed anywhere, but easily breaks out of track. The combination enables stable straight travel, but still maintains maneuverability .
