The Born Bach is a good one and a half kilometers long orographic right tributary of Steinbaches in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Kaiserslautern in the area of the municipality Otterbach Otter Mountain belong to local community Niederkirchen .
course
The Bornbach rises in the Untere Lauterhöhen natural area of the North Palatinate Uplands at an altitude of 387 m above sea level. NHN in an agricultural zone at the western foot of the Sternberg ( 455.3 m ) and a good kilometer northeast of the Heimkirchen district of Niederkirchen . There are seven wind turbines in its headwaters south of the Reichsthal municipal boundary .
Accompanied by thick wood, the stream first flows about a hundred meters south through an agricultural zone and then enters the western part of the star forest called the parish forest . He leaves the forest three hundred and fifty meters down the stream and enters the open corridor. Shortly afterwards he dines in the corridor In den Kirchwiesen, a small pond lined with strong wood on the banks. A second source branch flows into this pond from the east, which joined shortly before with another source branch.
The Bornbach now runs, accompanied by a tree gallery, southwest through fields and meadows and then reaches the northeastern tip of the village of Heimkirchen. He then moves along the mountain road lined with houses and then disappears underground at a playground east of the Protestant church. It then crosses the district road 31 ( Brunnenstraße ) underground and finally flows into the Steinbach coming from the south-southeast at a height of 280 m from the right .
