The Bröer Holding GmbH with its operating company EBRO ARMATUREN Gebr. Broer GmbH based in Hagen Stafsjö Valves AB is Stajsjö (Sweden) a group of companies owned by the family for industrial valves in particular valves and gate valves, drive technology and automation.

Company profile

The most important business areas are power plant technology, chemical industry, water technology, swimming pool technology, building technology, paper and pulp industry, shipbuilding, seawater desalination, bulk goods, mining and renewable energies. The Bröer Group employs 1080 people worldwide and achieved a turnover of around 174 million euros in 2018. The export share was 70% in 2018. Production takes place at four locations in Germany, Italy, Thailand and Sweden. There are also 24 subsidiaries for worldwide sales. The managing directors are the main owner Lydia Bröer together with the company founder Peter Bröer.

EBRO ARMATUREN Gebr. Bröer GmbH in Hagen-Haspe

In 1934 the Ernst Bröer aluminum foundry was founded in Hagen-Haspe. In 1960, the foundry was transferred to the two sons of the company founder, Jochen and Peter Bröer. The first butterfly valves were manufactured and sold here in 1970. In 1972 valve production was separated from the foundry and EBRO Armaturen was founded as an independent production and sales company. In the 1980s, the first branches were opened in the Netherlands, France and Austria, as well as a sister company in Switzerland. The development and production of pneumatic actuators began in Switzerland in 1989. In the same year, production of the electric drives began at the headquarters in Hagen. In 1991 the production facility in Thailand was opened. The Swedish valve manufacturer Stafsjö Valves was acquired in 2005. In 2009 Ms. Lydia Bröer joined the management as managing partner. Additional branches are opened in the UAE (Dubai) and Chile. The generation change was successfully completed in 2012: Ms. Bröer became the main owner of the Bröer Group.
