Bredenbeck (Brilon)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bredenbeck an der Bremecke is a desolate, fallen place . It was near Brilon in a side valley of the Hoppecke. The Moers map from 1577 shows the location on the Bremecke stream, north of the Hundeschütt. The Mercator map from 1572 calls it church desertion.

The place was probably destroyed during the Soest feud from 1444 to 1449.

In a document from 1651, the village was mentioned as a feudal place.
