The “raw maintenance” determined using the difference or addition method is extrapolated into a fictitious gross income using the “Bremen table”. From this determined amount, the amount of the pension maintenance is determined using the current contribution rate to the statutory pension insurance. So that this does not lead to a violation of the principle of half-division, the pension maintenance amount determined on the part of the person liable for maintenance is taken into account as a reduction in income when determining the elementary maintenance claim of the beneficiary who is supposed to cover his current living needs, i.e. deducted beforehand.
