The internist Dr. Joachim Brotesser and his colleague Dr. Franz Pacek, a cosmetic surgeon, want to escape the stressful everyday life of the emergency room in the Hansaklinik in Hamburg's harbor district and, together with the psychologist Silvia Dorn, open their own practice in an old villa in Hamburg-Ottensen.
